About Masia Soler

Masia Soler dates from 1900 and sits within seven hectares of vineyards and olive groves on the edge of L’Arboç, in Tarragona province.

For more than seventy years, the property was owned by the Soler family, whose name the masia still carries today. Set among working vineyards, ancient olive trees and open countryside, it reflects the character of rural Catalonia, shaped by the land itself and closely connected to the surrounding landscape.

When Tom first saw the property in December 2021, he knew immediately that he wanted to purchase it and restore it.

Since then, he and his team of builders have worked carefully to breathe new life into the masia while maintaining the unique charm of a traditional Catalan farmhouse. The aim has never been to modernise beyond recognition, but to preserve its character, thick stone walls, simple lines and a sense of history, while making it comfortable for contemporary living.

The main house is now home to Tom and his family, while the attached cottage, La Casita Soler, welcomes guests throughout the year.

Masia Soler is situated on the edge of the village of L’Arboç, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre.

The Mediterranean Sea is only ten minutes away by car, while the popular coastal town of Sitges can be reached in around thirty minutes. Barcelona and its airport are less than an hour away, making the masia both peaceful and well connected.

From the vineyards there are sweeping views across the countryside towards the distinctive mountain of Montserrat, which is a constant presence on the horizon.

The masia remains a working property. The land is actively managed, with olive trees and vineyards forming part of daily life here.

Sustainability is an important principle. Chemical use is kept to a minimum, solar energy provides the electricity, and wood from the land itself is used to heat the property during the cooler months.

Masia Soler is not a hotel or a retreat centre. It is a lived-in home on working land, and guests are welcomed into that environment – one shaped by the seasons, the harvest and the quiet rhythms of the Catalan countryside.
